Aromas of classic Durell spice infuse this ruby colored wine,
along with freshly crushed cranberries leading to a racy, lean mouthfeel.
Bright aromatics thanks to mineral-rich volcanic soils, add complexity and
liveliness to this expressive wine.
Notes from Winemaker
Our block of Durell comes from 100% 667 Dijon clone, perched
on the top of the north section of the vineyard in very volcanic soils. The
grapes were destemmed and underwent a five-day cold-soak prior to fermentation.
The wine was then racked into French oak barrels, (36% new) and bottled
unfiltered 15 months later in December 2015.
